For now I will keep this simple. This blog is simply about taking a photograph a day for a year and leaving a daily commentary on my life. Many of those comments may seem cryptic or otherwise meaningless to most. As a rule I will try to take a photo for the day before going to bed or if time does not allow for it I will plan out a photo for the day and take it on a following day. Cheating maybe but I don’t want to make it a chore.
It is not necessarily meant as a public forum or a platform to state my beliefs on life so I won’t be actively attracting traffic. If by chance you find yourself here please drop me a note or leave a comment. I always enjoy the extra company.
I will post larger versions and other photographs that I decided not to use here on flickr (www.flickr.com/photos/lifebydefault/). To be honest, if you are more interested in looking at the photographs than reading the rants of a madman than the flickr site may be more convenient.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I’m glad you found it interesting. It’s kind of a personal experiment but if there is something in here that others can relate to or get a little enjoyment from that would make it even better.

i enjoy reading your photoblog. it especially makes me wonder and marvel at things around not just as a picture by itself but marvel more at life, as the pictures are a statement of life. I’ve bookmarked your blog and awaiting more of your pictures:)

Thank you ckexpress. This project in a way is a statement of life. From a photographic perspective and from a “one step back away from myself” perspective I am trying to find out something about my life and myself right now. Originally, this project was just for myself, kind of a record or a chance to find a more objective view of my life as I look back on the photographs. I’m glad to hear that there may be something aroused in others by looking at what I have posted here.
